Unless you're going for a "sit wherever you want" type deal, you're going to need place cards at your wedding. Not to be confused with escort cards (that tell your guests which table to go to), place cards help them find their specific seat once they get to their table. They may be completely unnecessary, but I think they add a personal touch to your decor.
A lot of brides opt for a simple folded piece of paper with each guest's name printed on it (which is perfectly fine). However, it's also possible to take this opportunity to show off a little bit of your creativity! Place cards can be fun and decorative...not to mention totally unique! I love the DIY possibilities that all of these have – you can literally make every single one of them. And, some of these even double as a favor. It's a win win! So go ahead, be different and direct your guests to their seats in style!

I would go crazy over a macaroon place card!
I wasn't going to have place cards, but these ideas are so cute. I think I may need to try and find something that will work. Let the DIY begin.

I really want to have place cards but my fiancé thinks they are to much work... I think I'll just have to do them and show him they really didn't take that much effort
